Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VoiceCast ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VoiceCast is an AI narration tool that converts text into spoken audio. The Service connects directly to third-party text-to-speech providers (Google Gemini and ElevenLabs) using API keys that you provide and control. VoiceCast does not generate audio using its own infrastructure - all narration is produced by the provider you select, using your own credentials.

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own API keys with your chosen provider(s), and for complying with those providers' own terms of service, usage policies, and pricing. Any costs charged by Gemini or ElevenLabs for API usage are between you and that provider - VoiceCast is not responsible for third-party provider charges.

3. Accounts

Some features require creating an account via our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Free accounts are limited to 2 narrations per 24 hours; Pro accounts unlock unlimited narrations and additional voices, subject to fair use.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid "Pro" subscriptions are billed monthly and processed by Paddle.com, acting as our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable taxes, and receipts. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's own buyer terms in addition to these Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the billing management link in your account; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that impersonates a real person without consent. You are solely responsible for the text you submit and the resulting audio.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the text you submit and the audio generated from it. VoiceCast claims no ownership over your content. Audio quality, voice availability, and generation limits depend on the underlying provider (Gemini/ElevenLabs) and their own licensing terms.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. VoiceCast is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including failures, errors, or unavailability of third-party TTS providers.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
